Cookie Policy
What cookies we use on www.carbforge.com and how to control them.
1. What Are Cookies
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. Cookies let the site remember your choices between visits, such as your language, and let us measure which pages are read.
Similar technologies include localStorage, which stores small pieces of data directly in your browser. For simplicity we use the word "cookies" for both on this page.
2. Categories We Use
Essential (always on, no consent needed). These cookies are required to make the site work and to remember your consent choice itself.
cf_consent — stores whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies. First-party. Duration: 12 months.
cf_lang — stores the language you picked from the language switcher. First-party. Duration: 12 months.
Analytics (loaded only if you accept). These cookies help us count visits and understand traffic sources in aggregate.
_ga — Google Analytics client identifier. First-party. Duration: 2 years.
_ga_<ID> — Google Analytics session state. First-party. Duration: 2 years.
_gid — Google Analytics short-term visitor identifier. First-party. Duration: 24 hours.
Preferences (always on, functional). These cookies remember small interface choices.
cf_banner_dismissed — records that you dismissed the language suggestion banner so we stop showing it. First-party. Duration: 12 months.
3. Third-Party Cookies
We do not place third-party advertising or social-media cookies on this site. Google may set its own cookies through Google Analytics 4 when you have opted in to analytics. No other third party places cookies through this site.
4. How to Manage Cookies
You can withdraw or change your consent at any time. Use the Manage Cookie Consent button on this page, or clear the cf_consent entry in your browser's site data and reload.
Your browser also lets you block or delete cookies directly. See the settings under Privacy or Site Data in Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari. Blocking all cookies may break parts of the site, including the language switcher.
5. Do Not Track
If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal (DNT=1), we default analytics to off and do not load Google Analytics, even if you have not clicked Reject on the banner. You can still click Accept to turn analytics on for your visit.
6. Changes to This Policy
When we add, remove, or change cookies we update this page and the Last Updated date above. If the change affects analytics or any tracking, we reset your consent so you can choose again.
7. Contact
